| Candles Tips for Safety and a Better Burning Candle.
Jar Candles:
- NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE UNATTENDED.
- For best results,
burn candle 1 hour for every inch the diameter of the candle.
This way you obtain a full pool of wax which prevents
"tunneling".
- Candles have a
"memory". When burning a candle make sure you allow
the wax pool to melt to the edge of the jar before
extinguishing. Each subsequent burning will allow the candle to
melt to the edge and burn evenly.
- Inspect glass container before
lighting. If glass container is cracked or chipped do not light
the candle.
- Remove foreign objects in the jar
before lighting.
- Do not extinguish candle with the
lid.
- Burn candle on a heat resistant
surface.
- Do not move candle when burning or
wax is hot.
- Keep candle away from drafts.
- Discontinue use of the candle when
1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Keep wick trimmed at 1/4 inch.
- Keep candle away from children,
pets, and flammable objects.
- ONCE AGAIN, NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE UNATTENDED
Pillar Candles:
- NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE UNATTENDED.
- When lighting a new
pillar for the first time, let the candle burn until the pool of
wax reaches the edge of the candle then carefully extinguish the
flame. Each subsequent burning will prevent the pool of
wax from leaking. MAKE SURE YOUR WICK ALWAYS REMAINS
STRAIGHT.
- When lighting candle make
sure the wick is straight (I think I already said that).
- Never burn a candle on or
near anything that might catch fire.
- Keep candles out of the
reach of children and pets.
- Keep candle away from
drafts.
- Do not move candle when burning or
wax is hot.
